Welcome New Takacs McGinnis Employees
We are pleased to announce the addition of two new employees to the Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law team: Elizabeth McCoyd Greer and Dana Hentschel.
Elizabeth McCoyd Greer
Associate Attorney Elizabeth McCoyd Greer will be providing legal expertise on a wide range of client issues with a focus on estate planning and probate matters.
“We are delighted that Elizabeth is part of the Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law team,” said Barbara Boone McGinnis, one of the partners in the firm. “In addition to a strong legal background, Elizabeth has a passion for working with older adults and their families.”
Before receiving her license to practice law in Tennessee, Elizabeth worked as a paralegal for law firms in the Nashville area, owned and operated a high-end retail store, and worked as a Certified Pilates instructor. She is a former ballet dancer whose first career of performing and teaching includes 11 years as a professional dancer with the Nashville Ballet and other ballet companies in the U.S.
“Elizabeth’s diverse background is an asset to the firm,” said Tim Takacs, who founded Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law 25 years ago. “Throughout her career, she has listened to people describe the vision they have for themselves and then helped them bring that vision to life. This is what an elder law attorney does every day.”
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ballet from Texas Christian University, a Juris Doctor degree from Nashville School of Law, and a Master of Laws in Elder Law from Stetson University College of Law. She was admitted to the Tennessee State Bar in 2014.
Outreach Coordinator Dana Hentschel organizes and participates in the firm's outreach activities. She also serves as editor-in-chief of The Continuum, Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law's quarterly newsletter and coordinates continuing education programs for professionals who serve the elderly and disabled.
“Dana’s previous experience working for a senior living community makes her a terrific addition to the Takacs McGinnis team,” said Barbara Boone McGinnis, one of the partners in the firm. “We are delighted to have her on board.”
A Hendersonville native, Dana earned a Bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. After graduation, she joined Community Health Charities where she spent 11 years raising funds for more than 50 nationally known health charities. Rising through the ranks, she eventually served as the organization’s executive director. Dana also spent six years as community relations director at Elmcroft Senior Living before joining Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law.
