Meet Joshua Bey
Please join us in welcoming Joshua Bey to the Elder Law Practice staff.
As Public Benefits Specialist, Joshua guides clients through the Medicaid application and appeal process. Much of his work is on the financial portion of Medicaid cases where he helps families understand the process and meet spend-down deadlines.
Before joining Elder Law Practice, Joshua worked as an eligibility counselor for the Tennessee Department of Human Services, as a disability claims examiner for the Tennessee Department of Disability Determination Services, and as a managed care specialist for the Bureau of TennCare.
Joshua earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Performance from University of Tennessee at Martin where he also played linebacker on the school’s football team. After graduation, he worked briefly as a personal trainer, football coach and teacher’s assistant before beginning his career in public benefits.
When he’s not working with Elder Law Practice clients, Joshua enjoys spending time with his wife and infant daughter. He also coaches a summer football program for children in his hometown of Springfield, Tennessee.~
