Free Seminar Offers Help with Veterans Benefits
Elder Law Practice of Timothy L. Takacs, Jewish Family Service and Gordon Jewish Community Center are co-hosting Making the Most of Veterans Benefits, a free educational seminar for veterans, surviving spouses and concerned family members from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Gordon Jewish Community Center, 801 Percy Warner Boulevard in Nashville.
“Veterans of all ages come to us with questions about how the system works, how to navigate the application process and how to access resources for caregivers,” said Toni Jacobsen, LCSW, a social worker with Jewish Family Service in Nashville. “This event gives people the opportunity to hear about all the benefits at the same time and to make sure they’re accessing all the benefits they’re entitled to.”
Veterans of all conflicts and all branches of service along with their families are encouraged to attend. Presenters will explain the basics of veterans’ benefits and answer audience questions. A free continental breakfast will be served.
Pre-registration for this free event is requested.
