Berkley Crain: Off to Law School
Berkley Crain was honored by the Takacs McGinnis staff on her last day at work before leaving for Wake Forest Law.
Berkley Crain, hired as one of the firm’s public benefits specialists in 2015, has headed to law school at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. Berkley is one of several Takacs McGinnis employees over the years who have decided to pursue a law degree after working at the firm.
Berkley has always had a deep interest in the intersection of public policy and healthcare. “My work helping Takacs McGinnis clients navigate the Medicare system, and obtain Medicaid and VA benefits solidified my desire to pursue a law degree,” said Berkley, who worked for the Tennessee Commission on Aging & Disability and the Tennessee State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) before joining Takacs McGinnis. “My hope is to practice health law in a setting that helps patients more easily access and afford healthcare, whether in private practice or in a governmental agency.”
“Berkley was a valuable member of the Takacs McGinnis team and our clients loved her,” said Barbara McGinnis, one of the firm’s partners. “She will be successful at whatever she does and we wish her all the best.”
