FAQs about GrandPad

Updated: Oct 6, 2022

Is technology only for the younger generation? Many people will assume that to be true but others, including hundreds of innovators who are creating technological devices geared toward older adults, will emphatically argue that seniors are among the fastest growing users of computers, tablets, and cell phones. A recent study by the Pew Research Center found that those 60 and older now spend more than four hours a day in front of screens which coincides with growth in the adoption of technology by older Americans. It might come as a surprise that 73% of those aged 65 and older are using the internet.

If you want to introduce technology to your parent or grandparent to help stay connected and alleviate loneliness, where do you begin? There’s a lot of choices when it comes to software and hardware available to engage seniors, connect caregivers, and help your loved ones to stay at home safely and independently.
