Katlyn Green Earns Elder Care Coordination Certification

We are proud to announce that our Elder Care Coordinator, Katlyn Green, has successfully received her Elder Care Coordination Certification from the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association (LCPLFA). Katlyn joins her colleagues, Pati Bedwell and Debra King, who previously completed this training. Their combined knowledge and experience have been instrumental in shaping the exceptional elder care services we provide. With these three team members all holding their Elder Care Coordination Certification, it underscores our commitment to continuous professional development and excellence in elder care.

 

Katlyn's Role and Expertise

Katlyn Green's role as an Elder Care Coordinator is multifaceted and vital to our mission. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her position, having worked extensively across the developmental stages of aging. Her expertise includes education for Medicare and Medicaid, wellness and transition care, end-of-life planning, bereavement, and grief counseling.

 

Katlyn's impressive academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Freed-Hardeman University, a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Kentucky University, and a Master of Business Administration from Trevecca Nazarene University. Her specialties extend to certifications as a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®, Certified Senior Occupancy Specialist (COS), and Certified End-of-Life Doula (EOLD). Her practical experience encompasses senior housing, chaplaincy, grief counseling, end-of-life care, hospice services, funeral implementation, family mediation, aging development, and social work.

In her daily work at Johnson McGinnis Elder Care Law & Estate Planning, Katlyn is passionate about meeting and assisting families and helping them navigate the elder care continuum. Her dedication to her clients is evident in the compassionate and comprehensive care she provides, ensuring that each family's unique needs are met with the utmost professionalism and empathy.

 

Outside the Office

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Katlyn is a dedicated and enthusiastic individual. She enjoys reading, delving into history, and exploring genealogy. Her deep roots in Sumner County, where her family has lived for nine generations, connect her to the community in a profound way. Katlyn is part of the revolutionary Douglass line, and many of her ancestors rest in the historic Gallatin City Cemetery, a testament to her enduring connection to the area's heritage.
