His innovations have transformed the way elder law is practiced in the United States. Takacs’ insights into the challenges faced by the elderly and their families have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor, The Tennessean, and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance. He is well known to Nashville-area television viewers as a regular guest on MorningLine and OpenLine, on Nashville Channel 5+. He is also a co-host of a weekly podcast, Aging Starts Now, available on your favorite podcast platform. Takacs was also featured in Economics of Aging, a documentary produced by Nashville Public Television as part of their Aging Matters series. Takacs is the author of Elder Law Practice in Tennessee and a contributing author of Aging and Money: Reducing Risk of Financial Exploitation and Protecting Financial Resources, published by Humana Press.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Vanderbilt University School of Law, Takacs has been in private practice in the Nashville area since 1980.
