WANTED: Donations for “Santa for Seniors” and “Toys for Tots”

Updated: Oct 6, 2022

Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law is seeking donations for two programs designed to benefit some of the community’s most vulnerable members this holiday season.

To benefit residents of assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities in the Hendersonville area, Takacs McGinnis is sponsoring the Santa for Seniors program. We are seeking donations of wrapped packages or goody bags filled with items in the $15 to $25 range.

Items like blankets, throws, non-slip grip socks, and puzzles make great gifts. Please bring your donations to the Takacs McGinnis office at 104 Wyncrest Way in Hendersonville.

Our firm is also serving as a collection site for the Toys for Tots program. All toys are earmarked for children who live in Sumner County. Drop off toys at our office or at one of the other drop-off sites for the Toys for Tots program include the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce and the Gallatin Chamber of Commerce.

This is the second year that we have collected gifts for the Santa for Seniors program. We started it last year during the height of the pandemic to bring a little joy to people in long-term care facilities. The program was so successful that we decided to do it again this year. Santa for Seniors and Toys for Tots are well on their way to becoming cherished holiday traditions.

The deadline for donations for both programs is Wednesday, December 15.
